I was a little worried when I heard they were making Vampire Hunter D into a manga, being such a fan of the novels. However, the manga truly did the novel justice, which certainly made me happy. I enjoyed reading the story all over again, although sometimes the art bothered me. D looked perfect, but Doris's boobs could have been a little smaller. But nonetheless, if you've been thinking about reading Vampire Hunter D, but been a little wary of the novel, pick up the manga instead!

I purchased this graphic novel as a means to introduce my self to the genre. The format is very controversial, so I wanted to start myself out on a story I was familiar with to make a judgement. I really could get beyond the first 10 pages, it was just too alien a format for me.
