I was new to Nora Roberts and un-aware that she is predominantly a romance writer when I got this book. I found the historical setting with the background of scottland and the wars quite pleasing and enjoyed the light romance fine. Had I read it after others by her, I may have been less-eagar due to the feeling of a recycled plot.

This is the story of the MacGregor family roots. During the rebellion in Scotland, Serena MacGregor meets Brigham Langston, Lord Ashburn. WOnderful highland romance

This was a pretty good book. For me there was too much emphasis on historical events. I normally would not mind this at all, but only partial facts were given. It was assumed that the reader was already educated. I did like both the hero and heroine. She was a force to be wreaked with! And was a true gentleman warrior type.

I hate to say it but I didn't like it as much as I usually do with Nora Roberts books. It was much too...I don't know but I didn't like it though her writing is always a delight to read.
