I enjoyed this modern fairy tale very much. The narrator is a clear character on his own, and I absolutely adored the ending.

I liked the central storyline but found the layers upon layers of stories dull. I'm not sure how this would have filmed, especially with Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe in the leads!
