This is a very imaginative book. If you find earnest contemporary crap boring, and need a fresh example of what freedom of imagination, combined with acute intelligence, look like when they are together, then go find this book and read it!

It all started with nothing unusual, nothing out of ordinary, then, with each page, comes a little twist, nothing earth-shaking, a little absurd maybe, but all are logical in their own confined logics, then after a series of those twists, you find yourself in the middle of a most bizarre and curious theme park. And you hit your forehead, "how did I get here from where I was?!" A masterpiece in surrealist literature!

It isn't a book for everybody - you should like absurd to enjoy it:) Very good observation of our social behaviour showed in unusual way.

Another from the realm of the compelling. Exquisitely crafted self-deprecation and satire from a 1930s-poland still somehow rings true even in its depiction of class disparity and lambasting of institutionalized learning and bad authors. Kinda made me not want to publish anything I write, lest it be taken as awful or pretentious but not really.
