I came to this book because of its cinematographic adaptation, an excelent film. The book far exceeds the movie. Highly recommended.”
“I actually preferred the movie.”

I liked the movie a lot but i guess you cannot really compare the two. The movie is mostly action and the book is more ... a commentary on morality.”

This is the only time I've actually liked the movie better. The book was also VERY different from the book. The basic premis was the same but the storyline was not.”

Yes | No“Having previously watched the movie, I had anticipated the book being similar but perhaps expanded. I actually found the book very different to the movie of the same name, and am still unsure which I preferred. I felt at times, especially at the beginning, the book contained details and stories of Theo's life, that I felt, were distracting from the main story and maybe irrelevant? I also felt that it wasn't until about halfway through the book, or until part two, that I became more engaged and interested in the story. I was also a little disappointed with the ending, one of those ones where you just wish you could know a little more about what would happen next. Otherwise an interesting and fascinating read, that made me consider what it would be like if suddenly there were no more children. ”
