I don't know if I'll ever read this author again, but his early books in the series were wonderful. He should have stopped while he was hot.” see full review » see other reviews » |

I loved these stories, and though I am sad they the they are finished, I am happy to hear that the tale is told, and that life goes on. This had a vast decrease in lecturing, which is fantastic! Definitely a great book.”

I won't give away the ending, but I will say: at least the loose ends are tied off.”

Either I matured, or Goodkind's quality went to crap. I get the feeling he got bored with it and just stopped caring. He turned into a priest of Kindergarten Philosophy, filling his book with such obvious symbolism and passing basic morality as his own rare enlightened philosophy. Goodkind basically fell in love with himself and turned his characters into two-dimensional mouthpieces. I would give this 1.5 stars; won't say I outright hated it, but it was not a good book.”
