I can’t help my own interest in romantic tales even when I notice their cliché and sappy nature but despite a few clichés; Kleypas made these two a wonderful love story worth reading. Westcliff is snobbish enough and kind enough to endear himself to the reader and Lillian is a strong enough female character that you don’t believe she is sitting around waiting for a man. In fact, it is Lillian herself who is mortified that she feels like she’ll burst into song because of the love she feels. This is a fun and light hearted romance that is just the ticket for a romance fan.
