“This one is more who-dunnit-like than the other Erast Fandorin-books. I really liked it though. I liked the different views from different characters. The pace is different in Akunin's books than any other author I've read - not slower, but different. The mind of Erast Fandorin is sharp and with brilliant deduction - I have my suspicions along the way as to 'who-diddit', and I wasn't completely off the mark :-) The ending was intriguing and pleased me endlessly. Very recommendable!”
