I really liked this one. Some Nick Sparks books are too hokey for me but this one was different and finally an ending that didn't make me wish I'd never read it.

HB-B @ 2007, 9/08. Gabby Holland moves in next door and even though she has a boyfriend, she attracts the attention of the next door neighbor, Vet Dr. Travis Parker. Okay.

When your mind says one thing, your heart says the other. I think that's the choice everyone faces. What should you do? This novel shows us that sometimes, you have to endure things and just hope that everything will be alright. It's a good read.

This is not my typical read, but I must say that I enjoyed it. It's more like a "chick flick" movie. While Travis Parker and Gabby Holland fall in love, you think the book is about a specific choice needing to be made. Things change and the real choice of the book comes into focus. I liked it, and it was a quick read and a good diversion from my normal tomes.

Travis Parker meets his neighbor Gabby Holland, a tense encounter. Few days later they agree to 'forget the last encounter' and start over.
A neighborly invitation progresses to love, marriage and a family. Then tragedy strikes. Travis now has to make a decision, how far will he go to keep the hopes of love alive? Will he honour his promise to Gabby?
A very difficult choice indeed, he made his choice for the sake of love.
