- Stephanie Nelle: Head of the Magellan Billet, a sort of investigative spy agency (CIA like). She's around 60 years old.
- Mark Nelle: Stephanie's son
- Lars Nelle: Stephanie's estranged husband, supposedly dead of suicide for over a decade.
