Barack Obama's first book, Dreams from My Father, was a compelling and moving memoir focusing on personal issues of race, identity, and community. With his second book The Audacity of Hope, Obama engages themes raised in his keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, shares personal views on faith and values and offers a vision of the future that involves repairing a "political process that is broken" and restoring a government that has fallen out of touch with the people. I have to say I enjoyed reading your review and agree with you on the idea that a political party will save us to be a farce. I also have to say that there is a universal appeal to Obama, and saying that I have to say that he needs to be president for so many reasons. This country has gone down a dangerous road of being a tyrant, bully etc. It also has not taken into account the will of the people so I applaud your review

I wanted to read this, to learn more about Obama, but I just couldn't get into it. I thought it was boring. Clearly, I'm in the minority. I will probably wind up voting for him anyway.
