I don't read much non-fiction but this book reads like some of the best spy novels. What a story!

This account of a truly insane British man and the strange amount of admiration, trust, and responsibility he receives from his spymasters on both sides of the English Channel isn't written with much flair, Mr. Macintyre can be heavy-handed with with his foreshadowing, but it does shatter all the illusions the reader may have about the concentrated efficiency of espionage, Bletchley Park aside. It tends to drag a bit, and strangely enough it drags the most when focusing on Agent ZigZag. I...
