This book really opened my eyes to seeing how God works around me, and how I can be part of His work. A classic read for Christians.

I did not realize until much later how much this study impacted my life as I thought the instruction was good but the style a bit dry. However I can now say that I would not be on our church's ministry team, active in women's retreats and studies, if it was not for the challenges I learned about going where God is, about understanding and doing the will of God in this book and study. Certainly there have been other amazing points in my faith journey, but this was a cornerstone.

Did this several years ago as a church bible study with video tape and discussion. This study was great for individual study and when it opened up for discussion. I thought the video was interesting, but a little on the dry side--if you are tired your mind may wander. As a side note, my sister has met both of the Blackaby's as they both have been to her house for dinner after speaking at their church.

Although Blackaby wrote this book for Christian growth and service, it is based mostly on law. We need more of grace and less of law in Blackaby's writing.

Absolutely amazing. Like so many other Christian theme books or devotionals though, you won't be impressed or radically changed if you are not willing to put in the time and effort that "Experiencing God" deserves. I have nearly finished the devotion for the first time and I have seen God moving in my life and changing my heart. In January '08, I will be using this devotion as the primary tool in a small group Bible study, believing in faith that God will change even those most resistant to submission.
