Even though it's a romantic book it has a different angle to the usual girl meets boy stereotype, there is a great depth to Delinsky's characters, human and earthy, the storyline itself has other character's lives which run in parallel to the main story, a dying mother, an underlying story of an anonymous woman, the legacy of a deceased unknown father, a love story...moving, gripping and hauntingly poetic.
