What a sweet story. And the fact that it's true just causes it to be even more heart-tugging. I have always loved ice-skating pairs, and watching these two performers is really like watching their story. Reading about them was wonderful... hearing it from the perspective of Ekaterina Gordeeva was incredibly sweet and touching. I loved this book!

Their lives read like a beautiful tragic fairy tale. So much love, yet so heartbreaking. I remember the first time I saw them skate at the Olympics, their chemistry was pure magic~~ So young, and beautiful.

I fell in love with these two when they skated to Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" in the 1994 Winter Olympics. I remember how perfectly in sync they were, even when skating on and off of the ice. My sister Abby and I cried when Sergei died. This is such a beautiful story. It's not mushy, but it's honest. Anyone who has ever been in love should read it.

A most beautiful, and poignant love story . These two wildly talented skaters were struck in the prime of their career. Katerina speaks to you from the very depths of her heart , as a young wife , and mother who although broken with grief, manages to keep her strong spirit alive. What a tribute to her young husband that she loved so much.

You can practically hear her speaking the words as you read this book. Even if you know the sad end of the story, it's a wonderful peek into their lives growing up and skating together. I'm amazed at her courage to go through such a tragedy yet stay strong and keep his memory alive for her daughter.
