Ivan Doig is a wonderful author, this is a must read book

Ivan Doig writes wonderfully. He is a true wordsmith. This book is set in Montana as are his others and provides an extraordinary look at immigrant families of Scottish descent and their struggles in the new world. This book is about a family displaced by the construction of Peck Dam and the challenges they have adjusting to the new reality of their lives.
