• Annah: Living with the guilt of leaving her twin sister years ago in the Forest, she is now alone in the Dark City because her lover Elias has left to join the Recruiters.
• Catcher: A boy (mentioned in 2nd book) who brings Gabry to the Dark City to find her sister, Annah. He is an Immune and is wanted by the Recruiters.
• Gabry: Annah's twin sister who comes to the Dark City with her boyfriend Elias and her friend Catcher to find her sister and bring her home.
