“The first two books of the Discworld series. Great reads, but Pratchett hasn't quite warmed up yet. The characters are very raw, yet funny. The situations are immediate and hillarious, yet the emotional depth that comes in later Pratchett novels isn't quite developed. Without that comparison though, this is a great read in and of itself. The best is yet to come.”
