  • Sophia Mercer: Main character. Quick-witted and always has a sarcastic comment to share. She is the demon princess, as her father is head of the council. Goes by Sophie.
  • Jenna Talbot: Sophie's roommate and best friend. She's a vampire (the only vampire student) and an outcast at Hex Hall. She's a "pinkaholic" and a lesbian.
  • Alexander "Cal" Callahan: Hex Hall's young, hot groundskeeper and healer. He is bethrothed to Sophie.
  • Archer Cross: A hot warlock whom Sophie "had" a crush on at Hex Hall. He was revealed in "Hex Hall" to be one of the Eye (anti-supernatural killing force).
  • James Atherton: Sophie's dad; head of the Prodigium council. James is a demon.
  • Daisy: A demon living at Thorne Abbey. Nick's girlfriend. She also does not remember anything before she was 13 years old.
  • Nick: A demon living at Thorne Abbey who is unpredictable. His origins are unknown as he does not remember anything from when he was younger than 13 years old. He is dating the other demon, Daisy.
  • Anastasia Casnoff: Headmistress at Hex Hall. Sophie seems to trust her.
  • Lara Casnoff: She is the second-in-command at The Council and a close adviser to Sophie's father. She is Anastasia Casnoff's sister, and daughter to the former head of The Council.
  • Alice Barrow: Sophie's great-grandmother who was made into a demon. She killed Elodie, and soon after, Sophie killed her using demonglass.
  • Elodie Parris: A ghost. Used to go to Hecate but Sophie's great-grandmother killed her.Bound to Sophie.
  • Kristopher: Member of the Council and a shifter.
  • Roderick: A member of the Council and a faerie.
  • Lysander: Fae. Clothing shop owner, known to be one of the best designers.
