“This has led me to question a lot of things about myself. Why do I put up a Christmas tree when Jeremiah chapter ten tells me not to do so? Why do I celebrate Easter when all throughout the Bible, God is telling me to celebrate Passover? Why do I select a verse or two and take its meaning out of context in an effort to prove a point?

Blessed are you, O Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us in your word, and given us Yeshua our Messiah, and commanded us to be light to the world. Amen.
Coffeewood Correctional Center, Mitchells, Virginia: Originally designed to house approximately six-hundred inmates inside seven buildings. Each building was split into two dorms. Buildings numbered one through six each consist of forty-nine bunks. These six buildings were used to house most of the prison's population, including most of the inmate workforce-kitchen workers, ground maintenance, library and law library aides, GED tuturs, paint crews, pipe cleaning crews, and each dorm's housekeeping workers.
Building number 7 was also split into tow sections, but this building consisted of holding cells. The A side of building 7 housed special assignment inmate workers, such as outside ground maintenance workers who care for the lawn outside the prison's razor wire fence. These are level 1 inmates who did not pose any threat to security and were trusted not to attempt escape. Commissary workers also had the option to reside in building 7A.
The B sdie of building 7 consisted of holding cells for those who would bring trouble upon themselves and others: and served as a temporary residence until the perpetrator was allowed to be re-installed into general population. 7B is nicknamed "The Hole".
Over the years, each dorm's bunks had been upgraded to bunk beds, increasing the population to approximately 1,200. Unfortunately for the residence, there was no upgrade to the restrooms or the dayrooms. Beyond the restroom's entrance-two swinging, saloon-style partitions-there were five open showers to the left with a wall separating the sink and toilet area. Five sinks were mounted along the wall that separated the showers. four toilets and four urinals were located along the far wall opposite the sinks. This was supposed to be adequate for 98 men per dorm, but many a fight had been the result of cramming so many men into one small living area-especially after eating the food supplied by the prison. Some belived that someone in the kitchen had been adding Ex-Lax as a special ingredient, causing everyone to run to the toilet immediately after eating a meal. Something was definitely not right with the food. Four toilets, ninety-eight men; not a good ratio even if the Ex-Lax rumor had been a hoax.
The "boulevard" separated the buildings and ran from east to west. Buildings 1 through 3 were on the north side of the boulevard while buildings 4 through 6 were on the southern side. Building 7 was located at the eastern end of the boulevard, away from the other six and tucked away behind a razor wire fence.
The inmates were to leave their buildings and walk down the boulevard in order to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the "Chow Hall". There as no roof above the boulevard, which made for a nice walk on a beautiful day. Most inmates opted out of eating in the Chow Hall when the weather was not cooperative. Commissary, Medical, Property , the Chow Hall, and vocational classes were all located in a building resembling a strip mall.
The west end of the boulevard led to a 90 degree right hand turn and to the DCE (Department of Correctional Education) building. The building's left entrace provided the barber shop, the law library, library, GED and college classrooms, and staff offices. The middle entrance to the building led to the gymnasium, which was also used for band practice on Fridays, various religious services for large congregations-such as the inter-denominational services-and choir practice. The door to the extreme right led to the Watch Commander's office and the Visitation Room.
The National Reconnaissance Office: The National Reconnaissance Office is an oddly shaped building. From a bird's eye view, it could be compared to a hand-minus the thumb. Each of the four "fingers" are referred to as towers. There are also two separate buildings-the Visitor Center and the Mail Receiving building. The Visitior Centre is where one is directed to go if they were not a permanent NRO employee, but had the proper top secret clearance needed to enter the Secured Compartmented Information Facility without a badge. The Mail Receiving building was the furthest away from the headquarters.
PRI International: Formerly known as the Parapsychology Research Institute. Conducts parapsychological research for a variety of contractors, including the United States government.
National Reconnaissance Office: The forerunner in spy runner technology. Known for its involvement with the SR-71 spy plane and the modern unmanned air vehicles, or UAVs, such as the Predator and Gobal Hawk,.
SCIF: Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility of the NRO. This is no longer a place in which an employee could not confirm nor deny. It was no longer a super-secret, non-existent entity, hidden from the public by a deceiving sign at the building's entrance, which at one time had read "Boeing". Now it was in the middle of the public domain, with an Internet web site. NRO memorabilia could be found throughout the northern Virginia area. T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, ink pens, shot glasses, golf balls, beer mugs, and large coins- all displaying the NRO's logs, which was a spy satellite orbiting the planet Earth.
Yarmulke: A skullcap worn, especially during prayer and religious study, by Jewish males, especially those adhering to Orthodox or Conservative tradition.
Tallit: a shaw llike garment of wool, silk, or the like, with fringes, or zizith, at the four corners, worn around the shoulders by Orthodox and Conservative (sometimes also Reform) Jews, as during the morning service.
Olam hazeh: Hebrew term for the end of the age, the last days.
Spiritual Warfare: There are forces at work in our lives which we often can't see ... the demons in the spirit world. They are real and very dangerous. Christians, however, learn to battle those demons and drive them from their midst.
Spiritual growth: Calling oneself a Christian and behaving like one are two different things. Some of the convicts learn this difference and grow closer to God in a place that turns so many against him.
