What did you enjoy about this book?
What I enjoyed about this book was that it was about the war in Vietnam. I liked this book because war novels interest me. I’ve always been fascinated by war. I like how in the book it tells the details and makes it so you can visualize the moments in the book as your reading it. In one of the chapters the main character was wounded and was lying in the middle of the battle field. In the book it showed what he saw as he was laying on the ground and how he saw all the objects. The novel showed how he panicked and did not know what to do. Then after the medic gets there to help him he calms down. He stops worrying and asked what was happening. That was one of the most exciting parts of the story. I liked it because it was a really realistic part of the book. It was most exciting because I didn’t know what was going to happen next. There were also many more exciting parts in the book and that’s what made this book one of my favorites. This is one of the best war books I have read.

What was the author’s point in writing this book?
The author’s point in writing this book is because Walter Dean Myers joined the army. Dean spent three long years there. The point of Fallen Angels was moreover the very drama of war makes us think about our lives in ways we haven’t before. Losing a friend in combat brings home the realization of what a fragile hold we have on life. I think the point of the book was to show people what actually happens in a war. Its shows what the soldiers in the war are actually thinking about, and how they think.
The author also wrote the novel because it’s important for young readers to find some entrée into the material. The reader should be able to connect with the story and with the author. In Fallen Angels it is easy to connect with the book and put yourself in the character’s foot steps. When I read the book Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers I put my self in Richie parry’s eyes and pictured what I would do. And I figured out that after I pictured what I would do I found that we actually thought alike. The main character did most of the same things I did.

Where do we get it online? Is there any place where we get to share books ( e books and audio books) instead of having to buy it always?

YES, I agree some of the parts are very confusing, but all in all it's a good book.. more action would really make the book more fun!

I read this book a few years ago, I felt as though I was at the actual battlefield. The characters were very developed. I didn't understand all the parts. Did you feel the same?
