“I constantly complain about how difficult it is to come up with something original in the chick-lit genre, but this author managed it all right! The husband's return from the "other side" is not what one commonly finds in novels like this. Well done!”

I read it before I started reading -- The Wall Street Journal Guide to the New Rules of Personal Finance: Essential Strategies for Saving, Investing, and Building a Portfolio in a World Turned Upside Down [2011 publication] by Dave Kansas. LADIES, Don't wait for your husbands to get your family's LIFE INSURANCE -- especially if you are "underwater" with you overextended Home Mortgage now, in this economy. Even Dave Kansas admits that many husbands don't think deeply enough about protecting their future widows and (unknown fetus?) orphans. Be sure to get insurance on yourself for your husband and for your child's sake too -- preschool / child care can be quite costly, if you really need it.”

“good book but a little to predictable for me. I never felt a connection to the main character Julie/Julia so had a hard time feeling sympathy for her throughout the book.
