I loved this book. Daniel Pink really knows his stuff. He explains the left and right hemisphere's, and also kept it easy to understand. I enjoyed this book because he links the physical attributes to the psychological side of things. I suggest this book to anyone.

Here's the video I did...

How to think from your right brain and why is it going to be important

This topic is very dear to my heart. I literally believe that I am more of a right brained than a left brained person. That's why i picked up this book.
The book has been written with a good intention and...

Brilliant look at the shift from left-brain thinking to right-brained thinking to prepare for the shift from the Industrial and Information Age to the Conceptual Age - absolutely fascinating! And a powerfully inspiring read for creative minds!

Wow maybe the abridged addition would have been better. I could only take 250 miles of it at a time. BUT very good information and ideas.

This is a good introductory book for people who are interested in multiple ways of thinking--introductory because there are authors with books (e.g. Steven Pinker) who have written more deeply and extensively on the subject of multiple intelligences and various approaches to thinking (both creatively and analytically). As someone who has read similar titles, what I got most from the book were ideas, as each chapter concludes with lists, supplements, or otherwise encouragement for developing "right-brain thinking". Other than that, the statistical information, scientific references, other background info, or predictions Pink makes is nothing that cannot easily have been read in a few online articles on the subject. Nevertheless, for someone who is new to the subject of cognitive science, the book can provide insight and encouragement.

A Whole New Mind, an excellent read. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it was recorded by the author Dan Pink. Look up his interview with Oprah to get the cliff notes version. I like that he provided well researched information as well as resources in case you are someone who is a Left-Brainer. During this read I took notes on new music to explore and magazines and books to read to greater expand my Right-Brainism. The quote that stuck to me that I am paraphrasing "is that everything we see in the world is a design". Either good design or bad design, make note of this and learn.

Mr. Pink has delightedly given us a phenomenal new read to stretch our realms of thinking. After the Industrial Age, and the Knowledge workers Age, now comes the time of the Right-Brained age. Step aside, doctors, lawyeers, and accountants. Now success will be based off the designers and innovative thinkers.
Daniel Pink has brought us the answers to the next age to come, how to strive in it, and the importance of the movement at hand.

This book restored my hope that influencers out in the world get it. Daniel Pink presents a compelling case for our nation's need to infuse innovation into schools so we can stay competitive in the marketplace. This is only a droplet of truth Pink presents. You will just have to buy this book to drink the rest.
