• Calla Tor: The strong alpha female of the Nightshade pack. Although she was destined as Ren's mate, she fell in love with Shay as well. She's stubborn, loyal, and a fierce warrior. Who now is one of the searchers
• Renier 'Ren' Laroche: Ren is the Bane pack's alpha male. Possessive and stubborn. He was set aside to be Calla's mate, but she ended up running away on the night of their mating ceremony. Brother to Adne and son of Monroe. Completely unaware of his true family ties. Still in love with Calla he decides to help the searchers fight the keepers.
• Seamus 'Shay' Doran: Shay is both a werewolf and the Scion, as Calla changed him into a werewolf to save his life. He is supposed to be the key to ending this war against the Keepers. In love with Calla.
• Ansel 'An' Tor: Calla's little brother. Is in love with Bryn. Considered a traitor for making a deal with the Reapers after they took away his wolf in order to find and kill Shay, Calla, her pack, and all Searchers. He is beyond depressed after losing his wolf.
• Bryn: Calla's second in command of the Nightshade pack and in love with Calla's brother Ansel. One of the rescued wolves who remains loyal to Calla after she'd fled from the mating ceremony. Can't seem to get through to Calla's brother once she's been rescued and is trying to help him through his ordeal of losing his wolf. Is the sweetest character in the whole book series--gives you a toothache.
• Mason and Fey.: The other pack members of the Nightshades. Mason loves Nev.
• Sabine, Neville, Cosette and Dax: The rest of the Bane pack.
• Logan Bane: The Keeper in charge of the halidis pack. Son of Efron Bane currently being held by the searchers.
• Monroe: The Guide of the Haldis Team of Searchers. He rescued Shay and Calla and hopes she will join their team in order to end the war. Ren and Adne's father. He died previous to this book.
• Ethan: A Searcher who ends up falling for Sabine. Calla killed his brother defending Shay. Holds a grudge against Calla.
• Lumine: Keeper, master of the Nightshade and Bane packs
