• Delilah D'Artigo: Middle sister; a werecat. Half-Fae/Half-Human.
• Nerissa Shale: Menolly's female lover. Worked for DSHS. Now working for Chase Johnson as a victims-rights counselor for the FH-CSI. Werepuma.
• Roman: Ancient vampire; son of Blood Wyne, Queen of the Crimson Veil, possible love interest
• Chase Johnson: Detective, director of the faerie-Human Crime scene Investigations (FH-CSI) team. Human who has taken the Nectar of Life, which extends his life span beyond that of any ordinary mortal, and which has opened up his own psychic abilities. Former boyfriend of one of the sisters.
• Iris Kuusi: Friend and companion and housemate of the girls. Priestess of Undutar. Talon-haltija (Finnish house sprite).
• Morio Kuroyama: One of Camille's lovers and husbands. Essentially the grandson of Grandmother Coyote. Youkai-kitsune (Japanese fox demon).
• Trillian: Mercenary. Camille's alpha lover and third husband. Svartan (one of the Charming Fae).
• Smoky: One of Camille's lovers and husbands. Half-white/Half-silver dragon.
• Rozurial: Mercenary. Menolly's secondary lover. Incubus.
• Vanzir: Indentured slave to the sisters, by his own choice. Dream-chaser demon.
• Wade Stevens: President of Vampires Anonymous. Vampire.
• Sassy Branson: Socialite. Philanthropist. Vampire.
• Erin Mathews: Former president of the Faerie Watchers Club and former owner of the Scarlet Harlot Boutique. Turned into a vampire by Menolly, her sire, moments before her death.
• Shade: New ally. Delilah's lover. Part Stradolan, part black (shadow) dragon.
• Blood Wyne: A very old monstrous vampire, Queen of the vampires world wide and settting up her monarchy
• Ivanna Krask: An Elder Fae known as the Maiden of Karask, can remove evil and hungry ghosts and spirits, prefers payment of human children's flesh. Menolly contracted her to remove killer spirits from the tunnels beneath Seattle. Menolly's contact may have forged a bond with consequences in the future

• The Wayfarer Bar and Grill: A bar owned and operated by Menolly. Supernaturals and humans are both welcome, although bartenders and bouncers are generally supernaturals who could handle the occasional problems that come up from mixing so many types of people
• Demon Underground: Beneath the streets of Seattle are tunnels and parts of old city. Demons who have escaped the demon realm Have joined together in created a hidden home here.
• Fangtabula: A night vampire nightclub for humans and vampires. Owned by Terrance a vampire trying for control over other vampires politically. Roman will fight him here.

• FH-CSI: Faerie Human Crime Scene Investigation, a joint task force of the Seattle Police and the OIA, providing Medical care for supernatural and Fae, as well as investigations into crimes by Earthside supernaturals and magic users.

• supes, supernaturals: Short speak for the various people with supernatural attributes such as werewolves or vampires, Earthside inhabitants as opposed to fairies and other mystical and magical creatures such as unicorns
• FBH: Short for full blooded humans, inhabitants of Earthside without supernatural abilities
• bright meat: A Fae Elder referred to a child's flesh as 'bright meat', her preferred price for performing a service
