• Eran Redmond: A Detective with the Chicago Police Department, investigating the serial shootings.
• Brynna "Astarte" Malak: A fallen angel turned demon trying to earn redemption.
• Gavino: A weak "searcher" demon.
• Mireva Cocinero: A seventeen year old nephilim girl. Her mother is Abrienda and they live in a very run down apartment building in a bad neighborhood. To get into college all of Mireva's hopes ride on a full scholarship based on a science fair project.

• Ramiro Cocinero: An older Mexican man and the owner of a Taco restaurant for nearly twenty years. He is Abrienda's brother and uncle to Mireva.
• Sathi: A Detective with the Chicago Police Department, Detective Eran Redmond's partner.
• Castel: Owner of the Apartment building Abrienda and Mireva live in. He is a good and fair man.
• Father Paul Murphy: A priest at Saint Clement Church.
