    A great read!

The villian described in this book fascinated me. The villian was just evil. My first thought was what could possibly happen in someone's life to turn that person into such a monster?

I really enjoyed this book. Carina Kincaid is a tough heroine, which I like. I loved following her through the story and I enjoyed the romance between her and Nick Thomas.

    Overall, a truly great read.

This is the first book of the evil series and it's the first book I read for this author. And I am a definite fan now!! WOW this lady sure can write mysteries!!

Detective Carina Kincaid is called to a murder scene of a young girl, all the circumstantial evidence points to Steve Thomas, so Steve calls his sheriff brother from Montana Nick to come and help him.

The killer does not seem to be satisfied with one girl and soon starts on a raping-killing spree..

Will the detective and her brothers along with the sheriff catch him before he hits yet again?! And will the feelings between Carina and Nick develop into something more serious ?!

It's a very gripping, page-turning book. The murders are intense and horrifying but I loved the details and the flow of the story. Very recommended book for crime/mystery readers!

Wow. What an adrenalin rush. Lots of action and twists and turns. I want to write like her-she's one of my new favorite authors. I'll continue to read her books. She's also a member of one of my egroups too.

This would be the fourth book that I've read by Allison and I just started it today but I can tell that it is going to be another great book. How twisted a killer that glues the victims mouths shut. I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much as the others and if you happen to like Tami Hoag you'll probably like this book too since this has the same vibe to it.

I finished this novel on Thursday, May 10th, 2007. As part of a trilogy, it was a great first book. The sense of evil, in the killer's mind and action, was enough to send chills down my spine. The things that he does ... 'unspeakable' is almost not good enough of a word to use to describe it. And in that he appears absolutely normal is even more disturbing.

I thought the sparks between Carina and Nick were almost perfect. You get the sense of their feelings and thoughts towards each other and understand them as well. Working together on the case brought their trust in other people out in the open and even though each are surprised they're telling the other their deepest feelings, you get the sense that it's right.

And the case... 'Unspeakable' as it was, I really liked the plot and how it all played out well. I do have a certain question, but won't say what it is because it would ruin the ending for those who want to read it. I've never read Brennan before, but the trilogy was on the shelf, and the synopsis sounded really good. So far, I'm impressed enough to continue, and I just may pick up the first trilogy she wrote. A definite recommendation.

I've read the previous series by this author, and really like the way she writes. There are strong characters and good suspense. Great for traveling light!
