This book could keep you up at night...

Yes, it has that much of an impact. The content is hard to read. The psychopath is deeply disturbing. And, you won't be able to put the book down!

Lucy Kincaid is just about to graduate when she does the unthinkable. She agrees to meet an online friend in person... Every parent's worse nightmare, right? Then, she disappears.

What poor Lucy goes through is unspeakable, unforgiving, and terrifying to think about. Her experiences are broadcast over the Internet. Her older brother, Dillon Kincaid is determined to find her and save her.

Dillon seeks out the help of FBI agent Kate Donovan. She's had her own experiences with this psychopath and she is the only one that can help him track the bad guy down.

Lucy, Dillon and Kate are the type of characters that will forever imprint on your memory. A fantastic story, a wonderful book and an unforgettable plot. I definitely recommend this book! It will become one that I will reread.

This is the third book in this series and unfortunatly the last.. I would really love to read a book about each of the Kincaid siblings :)

Lucy Kincaid, the youngest of the Kincaid breed has been kidnapped on her graduation day by an online predator and made her family frantic.

Then they discover that she is being broadcasted live on the Internet via a live feed somewhere anonymous, with less than 48 hours to live and a vote to which way the viewers wish she meets her end!

Kate Donovan is a former FBI agent who has been tracking this kidnapper/murderer "Trask" for over 5 years with no luck. After a sting going bad ending up with her lover Evan and her partner Paige dead, she went into hiding.. But the Kincaids find her and ask her cooperation to catch this so-called Trask. All they know him by is by the nickname .. he seems not to exist anywhere!

Dillon Kincaid the forensic phsycologist is trying hard to understand the motives of Trask, so he digs into Trask's background and childhood to try to find out who he really is.. trying to think like Trask to know what he might or might not do.. to understand his way of thinking and his motives, to try to save his sister's life!

Will they be able to catch him before Lucy's time is up? Is she really his goal or does he want more? Could Kate fight her own demons and find peace again?

This book was a roller coaster from the beginning, true that it took me a while to read but that was because I was very busy.. it was so hard to put down but I just had to do it.. Everytime I think everything is going to be fine, something happens and changes everything..

I really wish Ms. Brennan would consider more books in this series.. I really need to know what happens to Patrick :)

Quotes I liked from the book..

His head was bandaged, and for some reason that bothered her more than anything. It made everything more real. That he'd had brain surgery because of the explosion that nearly killed him. That he was in a coma and might not survive.

He couldn't look at her with pity, he wouldn't tell her everything would be all right. He wouldn't offer her food or suggest that she get some sleep.

"It just proves that it doesn't matter how smart or careful you are; if a predator wants you he'll find a way."

Till so far, so very, very good!!!!!!!! Allmost finist,.....just the last pages,... jammie! The End! Yes, it was good. At the end a little bit chaos, I hope someday to hear how it is with Patrick and Jack? I wish there was a next book from the Evil serie, but no,...... All the Evil books where great! But the second was the best!

Brennan's "Evil" series comes to an end with the best book of the series. The story is well written and does not depend on the relationship/sex andgle to carry it, like the last one.

This book was pretty creepy, yet definately exciting. It was good, but I'd recommend it for an older audience. :P

Very compelling story. Couldn't put it down. Also not for the faint of heart.

I finished this novel on Monday, May 14th, 2007. As the last book of the trilogy, it had more or less an awesome ending.

I did figure out that some of the characters aren't new - they are actually part of the first Trilogy Brennan wrote, which is fine by me, I plan on picking them up just the same. But, even though the ending was nice, it left a lot of unanswered questions as well as leaving a character still down. Makes me wonder what Brennan has up her sleeve.

I felt really bad for Lucy; not only for what happened to her, but the way she was blaming herself. Oh, and in case I haven't mentioned it before, what happens in this book may be disturbing for those who've either been through something like this, or know someone who has. I don't, and I found it disturbing.

The way Brennan puts you into the head of the killer, it sends shivers down your spine. Knowing that this happens in real life only sends more shivers and shudders.

Dillon is a repeat character in all three novels, and I really like him; his personality, his thoughts, the way he figures things out. And, being described as a hottie does the mind good as well, LOL! I liked Kate as well. Not just her personality - her tenaciousness; not letting go, no matter what happens, no matter what she has to do, no matter how scared she was, she saw it through to the end. A strong female character and she was perfect. Lucy, even though only eighteen, was also a strong character - no matter what happened to her, she still fought back with everything she had.

The plot was excellent - I couldn't have asked for better - and I love how it came to a close. But still, there's that one unanswered question... What happens to Patrick? Does this mean Brennan has something up her sleeve? Maybe another trilogy where Patrick's in it? Difficult to say - I can't read the author's mind, but I certainly do hope so, or this chica is going to be one disappointed reader. A definite recommendation for a book that starts with a bang and doesn't let up until the very end, all three novels in the trilogy are like that.
