• CC De Poitiers: Posesses an ego the size of Canada; has had many affairs; Her most-recentl with Saul; Has O.C.D. Wellness guru who has written a book about being calm, though she's anything but. Her movement is called Be Calm. She is the victim of murder via electrocution in the beginning of the novel.
• Myrna Landers: Owns a bookstore in Three Pines. Previously a psychologist in Montreal.
