A heartwarming love conquers all memoir. Mr. Bernstein wrote this book at age 92, describing his life growing up on a London street. The invisible wall was Jews on one side, Christians on the other, and never shall the twain meet. Harry's nurturing mother, his aloof, uncaring father, the poverty, all play a role in story. Ultimately, Harry's sister falls in love with the gentile across the street, and it teaches the family, and the block itself an unforgettable lesson. Worth it!
