Aria has been abducted she remains calm but still nearly dies but for the quick wits of Lieutenant J.T. Montgomery who happens to be seeking a bit of R&R on a remote island near the Florida Keys, and unbenounce to the would be murderers he has saved Aria from they fire as well as drowning. But by the time he gets her to shore to get the water out of her lungs he has realized that she is a woman. He mananges to get the water out of her lungs and makes sure she is breathing when she awakes he realizes this dame is a real peice of work. A princess of a small kingdom in Europe. a beauty but oh so regal in every sense of the word and she doesnt seem to realize or care that he has kept her from immenent death. Spurned by her ingrattitude he really wants to wring her neck but slowly he realizes just how dependent on him she is. The real chaffing of his hide comes when the American government decides to make them marry to get the venadium that they need for the major steel production going on in the country due to the war. They go through a tumultous time getting adjusted to their situation. both under completely different assumtions as to how permanent their situation is going to be. Their marital situation that is. and Aria is instructed by the US government to learn to be an American so as to blend in better and stay out of site of the people who order her termination. Aria struggles at first but soon catches on and begins to love the "common" people of America even making good friends with JTs friends wife Dolly. and wins all the hearts of all his friends much to his chagrin although he tries not to show he cares. He eventually pushes the well trained Princess over the emotional edge and realizes that she does care about alot of other things and also has feelings and isnt the Ice queen he believes her to be. The death attempts pick up again when they get back to Laconia even with attempts to hide who she really is. Will Lanconia allow JT to be king? Will the murder give him self away before JT goes back to the states?
