This book was about a young girl who had no control over her life so she decided to take control of her weight. She became anerexic after her family started to separte. Her family wanted to help her but ended up makign it worse all the focus on Karen very one forgot about her little brother Donnie. Karen doesnt stop so gets worse and passes away one day, finally Donnie snaps and makes his parents feel the pain he is feeling. This a coming of age and family book,it shows teh sruggles people have in there own personal lives

This is a very serious story. It may upset children younger than teenagers.In addition, the book contains a hefty amount of strong language (though not gratuitous). Good choice for the sibling of a child with an eating disorder. As the parent of a child with an ED, I am not letting her read it at this point.
