Based on a true unsolved crime, Detective Kinsey Millhone teams up with the police to unravel the decades-old mystery of a young girl's body who turned up in a central California quarry. Interesting and suspenseful at times. ”
“This was my first re-read and I was confused a little because I thought this book had a lot more of "Kinsey's reunion with her family" story arc (that's spanned a couple of books) but apparently I remembered it wrong. The actual parts are a lot smaller than I thought.
Q is an entertaining tale because Kinsey doesn't work alone this time around. She's hired by a couple of retired police detectives who are in bad health and utterly bored with retirement and think that working an cold case would help the "other guy" feel more like living.
It was amusing to me as I'm familiar with a lot of the areas that Kinsey and the guys end up.
Also in a departure from the norm, Sue uses a real life cold case as the basis for the story though all of the people that Kinsey interacts with in solving the cold case are fictional.
Am excited cause I believe this is as far as I've read in the series so I now have R, S and T to read for the first time!
”
“Very detailed detective work!”

She done a really good job making a story from a cold case.
The actual case has not been solved.”
“This was the first Kinsey Millhone book I read from the series.
Q deals with a cold case from the 60s. A girl's body was found in a quarry in Lampoc, CA. Stacy and Dolan worked the case, now retired and in poor health they decide to open the case which always bothered them.”
