Has anyone else read this book? So far I'm 100 pages into it and I'm really liking it. John Grisham is a great author in my opinion, and the short chapters keep me on the edge. Any comments?

All rapists should be shot dead. Like the character the way he have written then specially the Lawyer Mr. Jake Brigance I also liked Lucien's character. With such a mature topic, didn’t felt like this was his first novel, agree with Amanda Grisham Rulez.

well, kelli, funny thing is, as much as i like shakespeare and dislike grisham, they both wrote for mass appeal in their day. I have often thought shakespeare would have been the stephen king of his day. not that i like stephen king either:)

I read this book when I ran a used bookstore. I thought it would be agood idea to read a couple of each of the more popular authors' works. I asked some of my customers who were big Grisham fans where to start. They all agreed this would be the best 1st Grisham to read. God, I hated this book and his writing style so much, I never read another.
