• Amalie, after years of morning, to her surprise finds herself wed to a prominent landowner. He seems to be all she could desire but he has a secret that keeps him from consumating their marriage. Then, after three months, he comes to her awakening all her desires but during the daylight he seems so different than the man who makes her feel so fulfilled in the night. Then Amalie discovers that she has been deceived by those she has come to love so dearly. Scandal threatens her happiness causing Amalie to realize what she wants most. Finally Amalie takes a chance and pursues her hearts desire.
