This is one of the two (Maisters True Professionalism) books that anyone who is interested in making a career in the CPA profession has to read. Required reading! How to price, after action reviews, fixed price agreements, change orders, KPI's, client selection (and deletion), and more. You can't fight his logic as hard as you try. God speed in his fight to kill the timesheet. Head on over to versage.com for more from Ron Baker.

This book is liberating. It liberated me from old paradigms about how a professional service firm should work. This work, and others by Ron Baker, has led me to look at things in a different way, and do things differently.

One of these days I'll do an even better review.

Yes he is my brother, but this is still one of the most dog eared books in my collection. Ron always challenges the sacred cows and shines a light on satisfying your customer and adding value.

This book explores the old and new practice equations for leveraging intellectual capital in today’s knowledge economy. Topics discussed include intellectual capital, customer selection, pricing, key performance indicators, leadership, and issues facing the professions.
