“I love this book. Janie's thoughts and feelings regarding her marriages are thoughts that have often crossed mine. I have known the feelings that she had for Tea Cake how he made everything into summertime for her and as long as she was with him she was happy. I'm about at her age at the close of the story and still trying to find myself like she finally does. A beautiful story of, among other things, breaking free from expectations and living for yourself. In my eyes anyway. Janie and Tea Cake's relationship is what love between a husband and wife should be.”
