“Finally, a P&P sequel that gives Georgiana a leading role! The P&P sequels I have read of late have been fairly low quality, so I had not-high expectations of this novel when I began it, but I quickly came to see that it was well-written and the plot was age-appropriate for Georgiana and moved along at a good pace. The kidnapping plot in the middle was a little bit soap-opera-esque, but otherwise, I found no faults with this novel. It seems Colonel Fitzwilliam is always the popular choice to fall in love with Georgiana, as he does in this sequel, but he also fits the role very, very well. This is one of the better Austen sequels I have read.”
