    'Western civilization has been attacked as an ideological fiction in the service of evil. Not long ago Rev. Jesse Jackson joined students in chanting, 'Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Civ has got to go!' Nothing could be more untimely, and in some quarters unwelcome, than the history of Western religion and philosophy provided in 'The Seekers.'
