This book will walk you through the information required to earn the Technician class license in amateur radio, which is the first of three license levels. The book covers a number of topics such as the fundamentals of radio, basic electronics, operating regulations, and more; all of which are part of the licensing test at this level. At the end of the book you should have a basic understanding of how radios operate and the various components as well as the regulations for operating and licensing. Don't let this scare you though, the book is written with the newcomer in mind and nothing at this level of licensing really requires anything considered to be truly advanced, that is where the top two levels of licensing come in.

The book also provides a thorough glossary of relevant terms to help the newcomer understand all the terminology in amateur radio. The end of the book also contains the entire question pool from which the 35 questions for the Technician licensing test will pull from. The question pool shows you which page that relevant information for that question can be found on, and those pages also reference the question number in return, making this study guide very user friendly.
