Didn’t Like It“This was warmly recommended to me, but I didn't like it. All it said was that they really don't know who did it, and hey, I knew that from watching the news.” see full review » see other reviews » |

Yes | No“I recently decided that ten years is long enough after a huge sensational case for me to give in and read about it, but this book has made me reconsider. It's the worst true crime book I've ever read, and I've read a lot. It's nothing but a day-by-day, endless, utterly tedious recounting of every interaction between every cop and every prosecutor and every reporter. It completely fails to pull it together into any kind of a coherent or interesting story and it completely fails to make the reader care about anybody involved. If you're really fascinated by the local politics of 1997 Boulder, Colorado, then read it. If not, don't waste your time. (Has anyone but me even thought about this book since 1999 or so, anyway?)”

In fact I have taken it out to my car to take back to the library and then retreived it to try again. It is so frustrating to know that you will never know unless someone steps forward and confesses. Also it is such a downer.
When I picked it up from the library, I did just because it was in the true crime section, If I had know it was about the Ramseys I most likely would have left it.
Should I finish it?”
