Characters/People edit see section history

  • Karin Maaka: Our little heroine. Karin is a vampire living in Japan, but instead of sucking blood from her victims, she actually GIVES them some of her blood. She's a vampire in reverse!
  • Kenta Usui: The new guy at Karin's school.
  • Anju Maaka: Karin's little sister, has not yet awoken as a full vampire, but she can control bats, and is usually the one who cleans up after Karin's messes, rarely seen without her talking doll, Boogie.
  • Calera Marker: Karin's overbearing mother, while she resents that Karin wasn't born a normal vampire she does love Karin in her own obnoxious way. Calera has chosen to keep her European last name.
  • Henry Marker: Karin's father, in general he treats Karin a lot better than shes treater by her mother, but the pants in the particular family are worn by Calera. Henry has chosen to keep his European last name.
  • Ren Maaka: Karins older brother. Ren milks the "sexy creature of the night" thing for all its worth, and spends his nights in the arms (and beds) of attractive young women.
