“This book had a huge impact on my life. Right after I read it I was challenged to take charge of my Uncle's affairs, it was a huge enlargement of my territory since he lived in Michigan and I lived in Nevada, somehow I managed to do it with the help of my sister Carol and some close friends. I really believe if I hadn't read this book I never would have had the courage and confidence to take this on.”

“Though this is a Christian self-help/inspirational/motivational little book, it is not a preachy, "You are going to hell if you don't pray" kind of book. It is interesting how Wilkinson shows the bizarre quality of the story of Jabez. Descendants, descendants, descendants, Jabez, descendants, descendants... It makes a person think, is all....”

“Apparently, The Prayer of Jabez is like most books--you either love it or hate it. I suppose it depends on the spiritual foundation of the reader. For example, The words "Bless me indeed . . . my territory . . . be with me . . . keep me from evil" have a wonderful ring to them, but seem a bit "me"-focused. This is where Jabez was in his life and God touched him where he was (what a wonderful God he is). However, I would suppose, also, that Jabez's foundation was deeper than one of a spiritual narcissist and those whose foundation with Christ is deeper will appreciate that emphasis. He "was more honorable" and went to Elohim with his prayer--which say alot about this man. He offsets his "My/me" mentality with a strong "Thou/Thine" dependency. Overall, the author's application was a bit more self-focused than I would have preferred. But truth is truth and my heart was moved by the prayer and Wilkinson's comments.”

“I've had this book for YEARS but never bothered to read it. I am going to apply the prayer of Jabez in my life and I trust that this will lead me to a deeper relationship with God.”

“This book was definetly a blessing! Lots of encouragement in pursuing God's gifts not only for oneself but for all those who this message can be delivered. Some people believe that these things are not available for them but at the end its all about faith!”
