  • Freydis: A brave viking girl, the main character of this story. Her father, Ohthere, usually ignores her.
  • Toki: Freydis' brother. When his father, Ohthere, left to travel he was left in charge of his village.
  • Ohthere: A mean, brave viking. Leader of the viking village. Likes Toki a lot and hates Freydis because she's a girl.
  • Enno: A young african slave, captured by the vikings from his home land. He's now Freydis' slave, and maybe a little more too....
  • Sulke: He's the villain of this story. He's an evil pirate who set Freydis' home land on fire and destroyed everything. He captured Toki and most of the other vikings who are now aboard his ship, the Marauder.
