Will ran away from home at the age of 12 so his family would not suffer because of his "curse".
  • James "Jem" Carstairs: Came to the London Institute from China after his parents were murdered by demons. Jem relies on demon drugs to fight back his sickness and although it keeps him alive, it's slowly killing him. She despises the Shadowhunter lifestyle and spends most of her time being snobbish and buying beautiful dresses. Eventually she got caught by Tessa and Sophie for betraying the Institute and now resides in a cell in the City of Bones, heartbroken over her loss of Nate.
  • Sophia "Sophie" Collins: A servant in the London Institute. Sophie has a long scar running down her face inflicted by a previous employer. • Magnus Bane: A warlock of great skill and underneath the facade of a cold immortal, he has a heart of gold.
