• Clea Raymond: Clea is the main character of this novel. Also, she is a photographer.
• Sage: A man who has mysteriously shown up in Clea and her father's photography. Eventually Clea meets Sage in person and he becomes a very large part of her life.
• Ben: Ben is Clea's best friend and a sort of guard too.
• Rayna: Rayna is Clea's best friend. She's an eccentric, light-hearted, gorgeous red-head with a strong belief in soul-mates and romance.
• Victoria Weston: Victoria is Clea's mom.
• Grant Raymond: Grant is Clea's long lost father and a well known surgeon.
• Pierre: A man that Rayna and Clea meet while at a club in France. He doesn't become a big part of the story.

• Olivia: Olivia is one of Clea's reincarnations, and she is an artist and Sage's first love.

• Giovanni: He is one of Ben's reincarnations. He was Sage's best friend when Sage dated Olivia. He was a shopkeeper's son.
• Magda 'The Dark Lady' Alessandri: Was one of the original members of the Society that protected the Elixir of Life. Sage's ex-girlfriend. Has lived for over 500 years with her family's own source of eternal life, although she has aged.
• George: George is Rayna's father.
• Dr. Prichard: One of the physician's at GloboReach.
• Senator Blaine: He is from Delaware and Victoria's best friend in the committee.
• Imi Sanders: The Israeli minister of foreign affairs.
• Jamie: He was betrothed to Catherine.
• Julien: One of Anneline's closest friends.
• Richie: One of Delia's closest friends and he worked for Eddie.
• Eddie: He was a gangster once involved with Delia.
