Characters/People edit see section history

  • Grace Divine: Daughter of a local pastor with the last name 'Divine'--not necessarily considered divine herself by all. Grace tries to live up to the standards both expected from her family, Daniel and others. She has a strong faith in religion at times, but often wavers. Has had a childhood crush on Daniel and is now in love with Daniel, as he is with her. Freed Daniel of his werewolf curse by thrusting a knife into his wolf heart but gets bitten by her brother, Jude, in the process. Is now dealing with living with the wolf inside her and trying to balance both her own soul and the presence of the wolf in her life while surving high school as well. Aspires to be a Hound of Heaven that Daniel and Gabriel spoke of. Not on good terms with April considering the events of the last book, and faces similar challenges with her lost brother, Jude. Loves art--painting and drawing as does Daniel. Is the defacto 'mother' of the household while her mother switches from zombie to crazy in dealing with the disappearance of her son, Jude.
  • Daniel Kalbi: Is in love with Grace and was a werewolf in the last book. Is also Grace's childhood crush (now current boyfriend) and art mentor. His dream is to get into Trenton with Grace and live a normal life.
  • Pastor Divine: Grace's dad. Helps out Daniel in previous book and now searches for Jude in The Lost Saint leaving Grace to take care of the family so-to-speak. Kind but firm.
  • Jude Divine: Grace's brother. Daniel's ex-best friend. Was infected by Daniel by the werewolf cures in The Dark Divine. Embraces the wolf and runs away from home, devastating his family.
  • Nathan Talbot: Green eyes, dimpled, southern farm boy Grace seems to run into quite often. Called the 'Good Samaritan' by others. Appears to be very protective of Grace.
  • April Showers: Grace's ex-best friend. Dated Jude Divine before he ran away. Acts like an excited puppy whenever she's nervous, excited, or happy.
  • Gabriel: A Monk who is also a werewof and the Keeper of a powerful wolfpack. In other words he's the second in command to the Alpha of his pack. Doesn't believe in fighting and continues to try and teach balance between the human soul and the wolf inside, which lusts for the kill. Considered a coward by many for refusing to fight. Wrote the letters regarding the infestation of the hounds of heaven, which took his sister, in the first book.
  • Caleb Kalbi: Daniel's father, a madman who wants to kill his son and become the new Alpha of Gabriel's Alpha's wolfpack where he belonged originally but was thrown out and banished for killing fellow werewolves outside of their pack and trying. He physically abused his son, which is how Daniel came to find out about his powers. A large threat to Sir Han's pack.
  • Baby James: Grace and Jude's little brother who was taken by Jude out of his crib in the first book. Daniel rescued him, but now that appears to be Grace's responsibility since she is now the werewolve with super powers.
  • Sirhan: True Alpha of the wolf pack to which Gabriel belongs, which is a rare thing considering the very limited number of 'true' Alphas. Gabriel is his Beta, otherwise known as his Keeper (2nd in command). He's nearing 1,000 years old.
  • Mr. Day: Daniel's boss, owns Day's Market, is the father of one of Jude's victims in the first book.
  • Mr. Barlow: Grace and Daniel's art teacher who pushes the students to bring out their artistic talents. He also selects the most promising students to try and get them into Trenton (a famous art college). He allowed Daniel back into school because Grace pleaded his case and promised to aid him in catching up on lost time, which ultimately helped to solidify the relationship between Daniel and Grace.
  • Mishka: Mishka is an akhkharu, which is to say that she's a vampire who can put people into trances. Was at the party in the first book who was pulling Daniel away from Grace.

"You know, you have to be all, 'Wax on, Wax off!'" I made the hand gestures that went along with the chant. Talbots eyes went wide. He obviously didnt get it. I made an overly dramatic sigh. • ““Than true love?” “Yes. That’s the difference between them and us. We’re still capable of love. The wolf tries to destroy love, tries to push it out of your heart, tries to make you destroy everything that you care about. But if you can hold on to that love, and if you can hold on to your faith, then you are stronger than any monster out there. No outside power, no force, no evil can make you turn into the wolf as long as you hold on to that love.””
