First off, I chose this book because it's the last book in the "Uglies" series that I started.
This book starts out differently than the others. Tally doesn't come in until closer to the end. "Extras" starts off with 15 year old Aya Fuse. Her rank being 451,369 is very low and makes her...

This book is actually really great, and while it could be a standalone - I think it's best to read the uglies trilogy first - this book takes place after the uprising or the paradigm shift where everyone is what they want to be, surgeries are a fashion statement and not a method of conformity and dangerous body modifications are no longer allowed. With a new protagonist and a new plot - society in Asa's city is ruled by "feeds" where individuals post their own news and stories (perhaps the future of you tube?) and people in society obtain "face rankings" which equal fame and popularity. The basis of these books are the "reputation ecomony" and Asa is striving for fame. She starts out with a story idea that spins into something much bigger - much more famous-making, and much more dangerous. Scott Westerfeld takes a twist on a future world that's evolved through the Uglies trilogy, and leaves us screaming for more! (A great triple-play on the title too!)

i love this book because it is packed with romance, adventure, science fiction, and mystery.
i liked this book better that pretties or specials because, in specials, it was too angry and i found so many times in the book to be very sad and angry parts because tally was so messed up.
i like it better than pretties because tally couldn't think clearly, and i was longing for more adventure.
this book is so interesting because it has so much interesting and new technology, and the way the city ran was really cool. it was also fun going back and meeting tally, shay, and some other characters from the first few of books. and i really liked frizz too. i liked how brave and outgoing he was.

It was really boring in the first 3rd of the book, but then as the book went on it got really good.

I expected to hear more of Tally Youngblood's story but instead I was launched into some new girls life. It took me a little while to get over it, but it was pretty good.
