Very much enjoyed this. Unlike other time-traveling type novels where the modern person's occupation is something useful no matter what time period they may live - doctor/scholar/chemist - the main character is a modern day lawyer and aside from knowing a smattering of Latin, little to nothing she brings from the modern world is of any use to her in her ancient Romanized town life. She muddles through, make mistakes, deals with her body lice, lives and experiences life just like anyone else...
