“Another book I started last night for another group! I've only read the first chapter, but once again, I was hooked from the first words. Curtis and Eldredge contend that most of us have divorced ourselves from our heart and are thus missing the full richness of experience in our relationship with Jesus. Our heart cries out for adventure and passion, but we, as "good Christians" try to muffle that through discipline and busyness feeling that somehow our passionate longings are the quiverings of the old man that should have died when we were reborn, when in reality it is the cry of our reborn heart that longs to be fully alive in Jesus. ”
